Navigating your career in CAS: Industry, Academia, and Everything in Between
The Young Professional Panel will feature invited experts from industry and academia with diverse backgrounds. Each panelist will bring a unique perspective on their career and the specific trajectory they followed. This will expose participants to important topics such as career development, professional networking, creating and supporting personal branding, and knowledge sharing.
The program will start with a brief introduction by the moderator, followed by short remarks from each panelist, ending with a panel discussion and audience participation. Specific panel topics that will be discussed include: career path of academia vs industry, funding opportunities, how to start and sustain collaboration, navigating the different types of collaborations, starting a career at a new institution, networking, branding, and developing new personal skills, among other topics.
